The Blythe Airport Redevelopment Area is located on 3,900 acres just west of the city of Blythe and north of Interstate 10.

The Blythe Airport is owned by the County of Riverside and is under lease to the city of Blythe, which operates this airport.

The Blythe Airport is located within the Desert Communities Empowerment Zone.

Regional water system improvements are currently being planned linking the Blythe Airport with the city of Blythe.
