The Desert Center Airport Redevelopment Area is located in the eastern part of the County and encompasses 1,129 acres southeast of State Highway 177 (Desert Center - Rice Road). The airport includes a 4,200-foot-long runway that is 50 feet wide, a pilot lounge and a storage building.
The Desert Center Airport is owned and operated by the County of Riverside.
The Riverside County Economic Development Agency is responsible for marketing and promotion of non-aviation uses on airport land.
It is located within the Desert Communities Empowerment Zone.
